Participant Application Information and Rules

The Burleson Lions Club is dedicated to preserving and building a top quality community parade with fun and excitement for all. Participation is subject to acceptance and approval of appropriate themes and sponsorship in the sole discretion of the Burleson Lions Club; payment of small participation fee; evidence of appropriate insurance for moving vehicles and execution of the accompanying Agreement releasing, holding harmless and indemnifying the Burleson Lions Club, it’s members, agents and others of liability as stated therein.

Upon acceptance by the Burleson Lions Club of the Participant’s completed and executed Application and Participation Agreement, the Participant will be mailed specific instructions for time and staging location and the Participant’s parade credentials. Any Participant intending to operate a leased vehicle in the Parade will be required to show the Participant’s Texas Driver’s License and a Certificate of Insurance valid for July 4, 2013 at the time of staging.

I, individually and/or as the authorized representative of the above-named Applicant, agree to the following terms, conditions and agreements concerning the Applicant’s participation in the Burleson Lions Club Independence Day Parade (the “Parade”) on July 4, 2013 or substituted date.

In consideration for the opportunity to participate in the Parade, I agree to adhere to and follow all rules, regulations, ordinances and statutes required by law and such instructions and directions provided by the Burleson Lions Club or its authorized representative (the “Directives”) in connection with the Applicant’s proposed activities as stated above. I agree that my/our failure to comply with such Directives may result in the immediate termination of my/our participation in the Parade, the forfeiture of monies paid or expenses incurred, and possibly personal liability for any damages caused to the Burleson Lions Club and/or others as a result of my negligent or intentional acts or omissions.

I agree to waive any claims for damages against the Burleson Lions Club, the Parade sponsors, the City of Burleson and any other Participant not directly responsible for proximately causing (the “Indemnities”) the Applicant or the Applicant’s membership, participants, agents or representatives damages and do hereby waive any claims of respondent superior, negligent entrustment, negligent supervision and or negligent design or product liability against the Indemnities. I further agree to hold harmless, release and indemnify the Indemnities from any and all claims by me or anyone participating in the Parade through me that are not directly caused by such Indemnity’s individual tortuous conduct not waived above.
