About Us

The Burleson Lions Club was founded in 1945. It is one of over 46,600 clubs in Lions Clubs International and is a member of District 2E-2 in Texas.  Lions members have served the Burleson community  for 76 years.   Club meetings are at 11:45 a.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of most months at No Frills Grill, 12846 South Freeway, Suite 100, in Burleson, TX.

The motto of the Burleson Lions Club is "We Serve."

The Burleson Lions Club encourages sight conservation and provides exams and eyeglasses for those who cannot afford them. There are also collection points throughout Burleson to collect used eyeglasses which are processed by the District 2E-2 Eyeglass recycling  and sent to missions for other countries. There, the used eyeglasses are matched to people who need eyeglasses.

Each year, education scholarships are available upon application for graduating high school seniors by the Burleson Lions Club.  These scholarships are available for trade schools, colleges and universities.

The Burleson Lions Club wholeheartedly supports the Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville, TX,  and the Texas Lions Foundation.

Members of the Burleson Lions Club are active in the community, volunteering for The  Annual Independence Day Parade, through our Chef's Kitchen project and at White Cane Days in April and October which support the Lions Organ & Eye Bank for organ transplants and by ringing the bells for The Salvation Army at Christmas.
