Rules:

• Registration and Staging opens at 7:00am July 4th at Dian Street and Johnson Ave.
• Parade Kick Off begins promptly at 9:00am
• Float Decorations are strongly encouraged.  All entries are asked to be decorated in a patriotic theme and music is encouraged.
• For the Safety of children and the public, throwing of candy or any other items is strictly prohibited from vehicles and floats. A walking unit may escort your entry and distribute candy along the parade route.
• All units including Marching/Walking & Non-Motorized units must keep up with the pace of the parade.  Keep moving at all times to prevent gaps.

The Burleson Lions Club is dedicated to preserving and building a top-quality community parade with fun and excitement for all.  

Participation is subject to acceptance.  Approval of appropriate themes and sponsorship is at the sole discretion of the Burleson Lions Club. Any political related entries must have a positive theme, negative or attack related themes are not allowed.

Participation is also contingent on evidence of state issued Driver's License and insurance for moving vehicles and signing of agreement waiver releasing, holding harmless and indemnifying the Burleson Lions Club, its members, agents and others of liability as stated therein.

I, individually and/or as the authorized representative of the applicant, agree to the following terms, conditions and agreements concerning the applicant's participation in the Burleson Lions Club's Independence Day Parade (the "parade").

In Consideration for the opportunity to participate in the parade, I agree to adhere to and follow all rules, regulations, ordinances and statutes required by law and such instructions and directions provided by the Burleson Lions Club, its authorized representatives, and directives in connection with the applicant's proposed activities.  I agree that my/our failure to comply with such directives may result in the immediate termination of participation in the parade, the forfeiture of monies paid or expenses incurred, and possible personal liability for any damages caused as a result of my negligent or intentional acts or omissions.

I agree to waive any claims for damages against the Burleson Lions Club, parade sponsors, the City of Burleson and any other participant not directly responsible for proximate causing (the indemnities), the applicant  or applicant's membership, participants, agents or representatives damages, and do hereby waive any claims of respondent superior , negligent entrustment, negligent supervision and or negligent design or product liability against indemnities.  I further agree to hold harmless, release and indemnify from any and all claims by me or anyone participating in the parade through me that are not directly caused by such indemnities individual tortuous conduct not waived above.
